MANILA, Philippines— Opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV claimed Thursday that he has evidence against his accuser, Peter Joemel Advincula.
Advincula earlier tagged Trillanes, along with other opposition members and priests, behind the so-called “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos.
Advincula is claiming to be “Bikoy,” the hooded man in the videos, narrating the alleged involvement of President Rodrigo Duterte’s relatives and allies to the illegal drug trade.
But Trillanes had repeatedly denied the allegation although he earlier admitted that Advincula was brought to him by some priests last year.

Instead of making the allegations in the media, he urged Advincula to bring the issue to court if there is indeed evidence against him.
“In the end, kung may kaso talaga sila, doon ko na lang bubutasin,” he said at the regular Kapihan sa Senado.
The senator noted that until now, Advincula has not executed an affidavit. He suspects his accuser has been making the allegations in media probably just to get a reaction from him.
“Well, I’m not about to fall into that trap,” Trillanes said. “Ilabas nyo yan (affidavit), pagka final na… isampal nyo sa korte dun ko bubutasin.”
“Because nakakalimutan ni Bikoy na kung meron syang ebidensya, e meron din kaming ebidensya. Ito yung totoo. Hindi pwede yung adjustable evidence,” he added.
Trillanes ridiculed Advincula’s claim that they were planning to bring down Duterte through the said videos.
“Hindi ba matinding kabobohan yun?” he asked. “Having gone through two failed exercises, palagay ko naman alam ko what should work and what would not.”
“That guy is living in his own fantasy…” he said of Advincula.
“Ito, categorically ha, there is no ouster plot…Walang ouster plot. Period,” the senator said.
Trillanes said that he was just doing his job as a member of the opposition when the priests brought Advincula to him for vetting. However, he said Advincula did not pass their vetting process. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
