Drive vs noisy motorcycles needs clear guides, says LTO Central Visayas exec
CEBU CITY –– The drive against modified and noisy motorcycle mufflers will be implemented in the region but not that soon.
Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO-7) director Victor Caindec said guidelines in the implementation of the order needed to be clarified.
“There are existing guidelines already for the modified mufflers but we want to make sure the implementation from all our operating units is done properly,” said Caindec.
The enforcers also need “decibel meters” and other tools to measure the noise levels of the modified mufflers.
Caindec said they have over 400 deputized police agents who need to be given the guidelines.
“We have to properly define the guidelines. We don’t want misinterpretations of the order,” said Caindec.
