‘Salvage’ victim found in Cabagan, Isabela

CABAGAN, Isabela — A suspected victim of summary execution was found in a grassy area here on Tuesday, police said.

The body of Jayson Awing, 22, was dumped along the road shoulder in Cubag village here, said Police Capt. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson.

Littaua said the victim sustained head and body injuries, apparently inflicted using a hardwood.

Investigators said Awing was last seen by his relatives in Barangay Annafunan in Tuguegarao City on Sunday. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
