PH Coast Guard launches search for missing diver in Palawan

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has started its search operation for a missing diver in Tubbataha Reef area in Palawan.

BRP Cabra was dispatched to the Tubbataha Reef on Tuesday a few hours after the PCG received the report that a diver was missing, said PCG spokesperson Capt. Arman Balilo.

Bryan Nazareno went diving with his group in Amos Rock in Tubbataha and has been missing since 4 p.m. on Monday, but it was only reported to the PCG at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Frogmen from the PCG’s Special Operations Group and a medical joined BRP Cabra to search for the diver, Balilo said. (Editor: Julie Espinosa)
