Trump welcomed to UK with penis mowed in field

US President Donald Trump is on his first state visit to the United Kingdom, and while the Queen threw him a lavish banquet, British citizens had other ways of marking his presence.

Ollie Nancarrow took the time to mow some choice messages for Trump on the English countryside in hopes the American head of state would see them en route to the London Stansted Airport.

Nancarrow, 18, mowed a penis above the words “Oi Trump” in one field, and in another field, “climate change is real” with a polar bear above it in another field. Pictures of the fields were shared on Twitter on Sunday, June 2.

The teen had permission from his mom and stepfather to mow the messages on the grounds of their family home, as per the Bishop’s Stotford Independent on Sunday. Nancarrow is an upcycling entrepreneur who runs an online marketplace for eco-friendly traders called Born Eco.

On Monday, June 3, the Born Eco Twitter account released a statement that said, “This is not an anti Trump (sic) message. This is a message about climate change, and his denial of climate change.”

Trump has downplayed the negative effects of climate change despite scientific evidence. Back in November, BBC reported that Trump said he “didn’t believe” a US government report that stated climate change would cost the US hundreds of billions of dollars.

“Stop Trump” protests on Tuesday will have a Trump baby balloon fly again after it first flew in 2018 during the President’s first UK visit. The group promised to release it again if at least £30,000 (P1.9 million) was raised for anti-racism and climate change charities, according to protester Anna Vickerstaff’s op-ed in The Independent on Monday.  Niña V.
