Chess coach nabbed in Baguio for child molestation

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines —Police on Sunday arrested a chess trainer for allegedly molesting his 10-year-old female student inside a passenger jeepney.

The suspect was identified as Ramsey Laureto Tiwaken, 33, a resident of Ambassador Tublay, Benguet.

Citing witnesses, police said the suspect was caught doing a lewd act on the girl inside the jeepney and later at the Burnham Park.

The act was captured on video by one of the jeepney’s passengers who reported the incident to the police.

The suspect was arrested and is now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 7610, also known as the Child Abuse Law. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
