MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) ruled out terrorism as the cause of the explosion that rocked a food establishment in Sampaloc, Manila on Sunday.
“Wala, no indication of any terror attack,” NCRPO chief Police Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said in a text message to INQUIRER.net when asked if authorities are eyeing the possibility of terrorism.
According to the investigation of the police, the explosion was allegedly caused by a leaking LPG tank inside the Yogurt and Tea House establishment along Dalupan street in Sampaloc, Manila.
The blast resulted in the injury of seven individuals, including a three-year-old boy.
All of the victims were brought to Mary Chiles General Hospital for medical treatment. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
