Paramilitary slain in Northern Samar

TACLOBAN CITY — A member of the Army’s Civilian Action Auxiliary was gunned down by still unidentified assailants in Catarman, Northern Samar at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.

Reports reaching the regional police headquarters in Palo, Leyte, said three armed men shot Elias Cahusay several times in a vulcanizing shop in Barangay Galutan. Cahusay died on the spot.

Police are investigating the incident to identify the suspects and the motive behind the killing. (Editor: Leti Z. Boniol)
