Interior Secretary Eduardo Año had warned politicians who may be behind the incidents that occurred even after the conclusion of the May 13 polls.

“I am calling on the elected officials: Be responsible. If you are behind those killings, we will go after you. Tapos na itong eleksyon. Bakit kailangan pa na may mga mamamatay [The elections are over. Why do people have to die?]” he said. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
