Motorcycle rider, son dead in Pangasinan road accident
DAGUPAN CITY — A motorcycle rider and his one-year-old son were killed in a road accident on Tuesday in Tayug town in Pangasinan province, police said on Wednesday.
His wife and another rider were injured.
Henry Villanueva, 43, did not reach the hospital alive after a sports utility vehicle (SUV) rammed the motorcycle he was driving along the provincial road at Barangay Magallanes in Tayug at 4:09 p.m.
His son, Prince Hennessy, died on Wednesday while being treated in a hospital in Dagupan City, according to Police Staff Sergeant Charles Taguilin, Tayug police investigator.
Police said the SUV, an Isuzu M-Ux, first sideswiped a motorcycle driven by Remegio Bartolome, 39, which was then on the northbound lane of the road.
Losing control of his vehicle, SUV driver Mark Anthony Magat, 37, then hit Villanueva’s motorcycle, which was a few meters behind Bartolome’s.
