Pagasa: Heavy rainfall expected in NCR, Rizal Tuesday afternoon
MANILA, Philippines – Heavy rainfall is expected to hit Metro Manila and the province of Rizal on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced.
In its advisory released 2:43 p.m., Pagasa said heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila and Rizal in the next two hours.
Pagasa said parts of Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Quezon, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas are also experiencing heavy to intense rains accompanied by strong winds and lightning.
Nearby areas are also advised to prepare for heavy rainfall.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said.
In its forecast on Tuesday morning, Pagasa said parts of Visayas and Mindanao would also experience scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
