Cloudy with scattered rain all over on Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of the Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affects the country, the weather bureau said.

Areas affected include the Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, Palawan, and the Mindoro provinces, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its weather bulletin.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will also have cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms but caused by the southwesterly surface windflow.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought by localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

The weather bureau warned the public against possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds from the southwest to south will be experienced over the northern and western sections of Luzon, with slight to moderate coastal conditions.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said the eastern sections of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will also have light to moderate winds from east to southeast. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Winds over the rest of the country will be light to moderate moving southeast to south while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. (Editor: Cenon B. Bibe Jr.)
