Drug suspect killed by cops in Dagupan City

DAGUPAN CITY — A suspected drug trader here was killed on Tuesday morning after he reportedly fired at policemen during a buy-bust operation.

Police said Ronron Manalo, a resident of Barangay Bonuan Gueset here, drew his gun and fired at law enforcers when he sensed that he was dealing with an undercover policeman, prompting the police to shoot back at 1:15 a.m.

Aside from his gun, also seized from Manalo was a sealed transparent plastic sachet containing about five grams of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P25,000. Gabriel Cardinoza (Editor: Leti Boniol)
