DID YOU KNOW: MMDA Traffic Discipline Office has 3,288 workers

According to the 2018 annual report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the total manpower of the Traffic Discipline Office was 3,288 as of December 2018.

Of this, 2,242 were assigned to traffic enforcement, 364 to traffic engineering and 22 to traffic education.

There were also 268 assigned to support groups composed of the Road Emergency Group and the Towing and Impounding Division.

For the year 2018, according to the MMDA, income from traffic fines increased by 25.538 percent to P158.514 million from P126.267 in 2017. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
