P300K worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Legazpi City
LEGAZPI CITY – Police and anti-drugs agents seized P333,200 worth of suspected illegal drugs in four separate operations in Legazpi City in Albay province on Monday morning.
Lt. Col. Aldwin Gamboa, chief of Legazpi City police, said authorities recovered 16 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing more or less 10 grams from the house of Rosemarie Dayap at around 6:20 a.m. at Barangay (village) Dinagaan.
At the same village, a separate police team also recovered seven sachets of suspected illegal drugs from Jomarie Dayap with estimated weight of 17 grams around 7 a.m.
Cotton Yuson, information officer of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Bicol, said Rosemarie and Jomarie are relatives.
Anti-narcotics operatives also seized six sachets of suspected illegal drugs weighing 12 grams from Michael Añonuevo of the said barangay.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Victory Village South, the team confiscated 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 10 grams from the residence of Christopher Abunda at around 7:54 a.m.
