‘Bikoy’s credibility still ‘questionable’ — Eleazar

MANILA, Philippines — The credibility of Peter Joemel Advincula, the man who claims to be “Bikoy” and the one behind the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos, is still “questionable,” National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said Friday.

Advincula, in a series of videos, initially tagged the family of President Rodrigo Duterte and his allies in illegal drug activities.

However on Thursday,  Advincula recanted his allegations, saying those were lies orchestrated by the Liberal Party (LP) and by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

“‘Yung credibilidad niya ay talagang kwestiyonable eh. Isang napakalaking sinungaling,” Eleazar told Radyo Inquirer in an interview.

“Hindi naman ibig sabihin na bigla siyang kumampi sa administration at sinisi niya ang opposition ay paniniwalaan na sya ng Chief PNP (Philippine National Police),” he added, he referring to PNP chief General Oscar Albayalde.

He said the PNP will be investigating Advincula’s claims, however, he said, the “burden of proof” will be on “Bikoy.”

“The burden of proof is on him (Advincula). Pero syempre, ia-assess natin, kasi police po tayo eh, we are evidence-based, hindi naman tayo nagpapaniwala sa mga haka-haka,” the NCRPO chief said.

Advincula is now in the custody of the PNP in Camp Crame.  (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
