Senator-elect Lito Lapid takes oath in Bulacan

MANILA, Philippines – Senator-elect  Lito Lapid on Thursday took his oath in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Lapid’s chief of staff, Atty. Filmer Abrajano said the incoming senator took his oath before Barangay  Pantoc Chairman Oliver Duya who is Lapid’s former classmate.

Lapid was accompanied by his wife Marissa and their children  – Mean, Mark and Maynard.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed Lapid on Wednesday at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Lapid, who had previously served in the Senate from 2004 to 2016, placed seventh in the 2019 senatorial race with 16,965,464 votes.     (Editor: Gilbert S. Gaviola)
