MANILA, Philippines — According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), at least 21,700 pieces of election-related materials were collected in Metro Manila a day after the May 13 midterm polls.

In its post cleanup report, the MMDA’s Metro Parkway Clearing Group said that on May 14, it collected campaign materials of varying sizes equivalent to 23.42 tons that filled up seven dump trucks.

It also confiscated 134,700 pieces, equivalent to 145 tons, of election-related materials under “Oplan Baklas” before the polls. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
