MANILA, Philippines – The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Sunday morning resumed encoding nationwide election returns which are compared to results from the transparency server.
Volunteers arrived at the PPCRV command center in Paco, Manila, for the first shift of the day from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Physical copies of election returns are transported from cities and provinces to the command center where they are manually encoded by volunteers to see of these match figures from the transparency server.
PPCRV spokesperson Agnes Gervacio said that among the election returns received were from Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pangasinan, Baguio City, La Union, Nueva Ecija, Cagayan, and Tarlac.
Gervacio said that they intend to finish the encoding of all election returns in two to three weeks.
PPCRV spokesperson Myla Villanueva, for her part, said that as of Friday, the match rate had been at 99.98 percent.
Two ballots from two separate election returns have been observed. These, however, have “no impact” on the final results. (Editor: Cenon B. Bibe Jr.)
