Received election returns now around 20% — PPCRV
MANILA, Philippines — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Thursday said they have so far received around 20 percent of the physical copies of election returns nationwide.
PPCRV spokesperson Agnes Gervacio said the election returns came from Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pangasinan, Baguio City, La Union, and Nueva Ecija.
Election returns from provinces in the Visayas such as Iloilo and Bohol have also arrived, as well as those from Agusan del Norte in the Mindanao region.
“The kids are making very short work of the encoding. Ubos na ubos lahat na dumadating na election returns dito,” Gervacio told reporters at the PPCRV command center in Manila.
Gervacio said they are expecting more election returns to arrive in the following days as they attempt to finish the manual encoding of election results in two to three weeks.
The PPCRV is mandated to conduct voter’s education, poll-watching, and an unofficial, parallel counting of votes.
