Camarines Norte gov wins third term
NAGA CITY — Reelectionist Camarines Norte Governor Edgar Tallado has won his third term in this year’s midterm elections.
The Commission on Elections proclaimed Tallado winner in Camarines Norte around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Tallado garnered 149,002 votes while his rival Cathy Barcelona-Reyes had 104,635 votes.
Tallado, who was supposed to be in his last term, was allowed to run after serving a suspension order by the Ombudsman for grave misconduct in 2018.
Late Wednesday night, Tallado’s wife, Josefina was also proclaimed the new representative of the first district of Camarines Norte. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
