/ 05:16 AM May 16, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines has downgraded its alert status to blue nationwide, with nearly all local candidates proclaimed.

This means “50 percent of its personnel should be inside the camp [but still] prepared for any contingency,” AFP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Edgard Arevalo said, adding that the alert status “may be downgraded to white or normal when all candidates will have been proclaimed.” —Jeannette I. Andrade
