BACOLOD CITY — Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia is poised to win against his opponent.
Election results today showed Leonardia with 141,897 votes compared to Jocelle Batapa-Sigue’s 79,534 votes.
Reelectionist Rep. Greg Gasataya and 12 other members of their slate were also expected to win.
Gasataya had 132,705 votes while Monico Puentevella got 82,923 votes.
Four defective SD cards that stalled the counting of votes from four clustered precincts delayed their proclamations.
Acting Provincial Election Supervisor Salud Milagros Villanueva said the proclamation of winners in Negros Occidental may be done on Thursday. (Editor: Leti Z. Boniol)
