Chiz proclaimed Sorsogon governor

SORSOGON City – Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero is now the newly elected governor in Sorsogon province with a landslide victory of 303,960.

Lawyer Noreil Badiola, Sorsogon provincial election officer, proclaimed Escudero as governor Tuesday 11 a.m. at the Commission on Elections provincial office.

Escudero defeated rival Vladimir Frivaldo who got 31,867 votes.

Nora Deuna, media relations officer of Escudero, said: “Once the governor assumes (his), post he will focus on livelihood and tourism.”
