Mayoral bet in Abra town withdraws CoC on election day

05:40 PM May 13, 2019

BANGUED, ABRA — Independent candidate Rami Hasne of Lacub town withdrew his candidacy for the mayoral post earlier today.

The Commission on Elections received an electronic copy of Hasne’s withdrawal, which they then forwarded to the regional office for processing.

Provincial Election Supervisor Dexter Cawis said they have not confirmed why Hasne withdrew his bid but said they would review his affidavit of withdrawal.

This leaves Leo Baroña of PDP-Laban and Nestor Bersamina vying for the post. Valerie Damian  (Editor: Leti Z. Boniol)
