Comelec officially convenes as Board of Canvassers

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections has officially convened as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) on Monday at around 4:30 p.m. to start the canvassing of votes for the midterm election.

It was initially scheduled for 3 p.m. but was delayed.

Sitting as the NBOC, the Comelec is expected to accept certificates of canvass of votes from various areas in the country.

Polling precincts are expected to close at 6 p.m., ending the 12-hour-voting on Election Day which started at 6 a.m. (Editor: Abe Cerojano)
