Robredo urges Filipinos: Get up and exercise your right to vote

NAGA CITY, Philippines — Few hours before polling centers close, Vice President Leni Robredo urged Filipino voters to “get up and exercise their right to vote.”

“Election is both an opportunity and responsibility. Opportunity na maipaabot natin ang saloobin at boses natin kung sino ang gusto natin kakatawan sa atin,” she added.

She said people should not miss the chance to vote while they can.

“It is also a responsibility in a sense na hindi dahil gusto mong bumoto boboto ka kung ayaw mo hindi, ito ay obligasyon mo as a citizen na ipaabot ang boses mo,” she said.

Robredo also told voters to come to the polling centers before they close and not wait for the last hour. (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
