120 ballots for Bohol village sent to Cebu
LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — At least 120 ballots for Barangay Toril, Albuquerque in Bohol province were mistakenly sent to Cordova town in Cebu.
Of the 120 ballots, seven were already shaded by the voters after the electoral board noticed the mix-up.
Lawyer Veronico Petalcorin, Commission on Elections in Central Visayas officer, said seven ballots were not accepted by the vote counting machine in Cordova.
One ballot from Barangay Jaguikican, Laua-an in Antique was also mistakenly sent to Lapu-Lapu City.
The electoral boards at the Canjulao Elementary School in Lapu-Lapu City are now checking if there are other ballots from other provinces that were sent here.
