BATAC CITY–Former First Lady and incumbent Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos and her grandson Matthew Manotoc cast their votes at the Mariano Marcos Memorial Elementary School in Barangay Lacub here at about 8 a.m.

Manotoc substituted for his grandmother who canceled her gubernatorial bid in November last year, shortly after she was convicted of seven counts of graft by the Sandiganbayan.

Running unopposed, Manotoc assured Ilocanos he would continue the programs and services started by his mother, outgoing Gov. Imee Marcos, who is running for senator. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
