Malfunctioning VCMs cause long queue in 5 Abra precincts

PIDIGAN, ABRA, Philippines — Voters waited in long queue at the Pidigan Central School here where five poll precincts are located.

According to the Commission on Elections help desk supervisor Manuela Garcia, they experienced technical problems earlier as vote counting machines malfunctioned.The problem was immediately resolved, she said.

Garcia said they were anticipating late comers despite voting hours extended until 6 p.m.
