Detained Daraga mayor waives right to vote

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — Detained Daraga Mayor Carlwyn Baldo waived his right to vote for the midterm national and local elections, Jail Senior Inspector Rodolfo Versoza,  warden of Legazpi City Jail said Monday.

Versoza said the waiver was executed on Sunday night.“The reason is personal,” he said.He said he was set to vote in Tagas Elementary School.

Baldo is tagged as the brains on the murder of Bicol partylist Rep. Rodel Batocabe and his police escort SPO2 Orlando Diaz in a Christmas event on Dec. 22.
