All DFA consular offices closed on election day
MANILA, Philippines — All consular offices across the country will be closed on May 13, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced Thursday.
In an advisory issued by the DFA’s Office of Consular Affairs (OCA), it said that its office at the Aseana Business Park in Parañaque and all DFA Consular Offices nationwide will be closed on election day.
President Rodrigo Duterte has declared May 13 as a special non-working holiday throughout the country for the national and local polls.
The DFA said that applicants with confirmed passport appointments on May 13, 2019 may be accommodated at their original site from May 14-31, 2019, except on Saturdays.
“Said applicants must bring a printout of their confirmed passport appointments along with the other requirements for their passport application,” the DFA added. /ee
