MANILA, Philippines — Peter Joemel Advincula, who claimed to be “Bikoy,” cannot dictate on the Senate Committee on Public Order that would look into his own allegations.

“He cannot dictate on the committee,” Sen. Panfilo Lacson, chairman of the committee, said in a text message Tuesday night.

“Truth is never time-bound. If he can’t be spontaneous, the only logical conclusion is he has not yet weaved his lies,” he added.

Lacson made the remark when sought for comment on Advincula’s reported statement that he could only testfify in the Senate after the May 13 elections.

In the said news report, Advincula also requested Lacson to give him more time to prepare for the hearing.

The committee has already sent a formal invitation letter to Advincula through the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) for a hearing slated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.

It was at the IBP office in Pasig where Advincula surfaced and identified himself as the “Bikoy” who appeared in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos.

In the videos, Bikoy accused President Rodrigo Duterte’s family and allies of involvement in illegal drugs.

Advincula also repeated the allegations at a press con held at IBP office.
