Cops thoroughly probing raid on Catanduanes solon’s residence

LEGAZPI CITY – A Special Investigation Team was formed by the Catanduanes provincial police to look into the intrusion of armed men in the residence of Catanduanes Rep. Cesar Sarmiento over the weekend.

Last Saturday, it was reported that several heavily-armed masked men barged into the residence of Sarmiento in Barangay Ibong Sapa in Virac and hogtied security guards on duty and two bystanders.

The armed men reportedly tried to enter the rooms of the house but failed.
