20 hurt in Zambales road mishap

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales–Twenty people were injured after a passenger bus carrying them swerved and fell into the road gutter here on Saturday.

Police said Richard Venancio, 39, driver of the north-bound Victory Liner bus, lost control of the vehicle due to the slippery road along the national highway in Barangay Antipolo.

Venancio and 19 of the bus passengers were hurt in the accident and were taken to this town’s Rural Health Unit for treatment, police said. /je
