Cop shot dead in Bacolod City

MANILA, Philippines–A policeman was shot dead in a subdivision in Bacolod City Tuesday, reports reaching Camp Crame showed Wednesday.

Region 6 police identified the victim as Police Officer 1 Robert Espinosa who was shot in the head with a .45 caliber pistol by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants at around 2:15 a.m. and escaped after.

Espinosa was declared dead on arrival at the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center.
