‘Shabu’ worth over P400k seized in anti-drug operations in Legazpi City
LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives seized on Thursday 62.5 grams of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P425,036 from six suspected illegal drug pushers in separate anti-drug operations in a coastal village here, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Friday.
Drug operatives armed with search warrants rounded up four suspected drug pushers in Barangay (village) Victory Village South, a known illegal drug hot spot in this city, according to Christian Frivaldo, PDEA acting regional director.
Arrested in separate police drug stings were Anthony Bahoy, who had in his possession 10 sachets of shabu worth P85,036; Albert Barcelon with 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000; and Anthony Balictar and Jomar Napay who had eight sachets with shabu weighing 10 grams worth P84,194.
Meanwhile, Dennis Arao and Eddie Gonzales Sr., of the same village, eluded arrest but operatives found six sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams worth P102,000 at Arao’s house and 14 sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams worth P68,000 in Gonzales’ house.
