MANILA, Philippines—A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck a municipality in Occidental Mindoro, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Thursday.
The earthquake struck at 31 kilometers southwest of Rizal, Occidental Mindoro at 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
Phivolcs added that the tremblor is of tectonic origin and has a depth of three kilometers.
The quake was also felt at Reported Intensity IV in Rizal, Occidental Mindoro and Reported Intensity III in the municipalities of San Jose and Calintaan in Occidental Mindoro.
No damages and aftershocks were expected, Phivolcs added. /jpv
