Two more blocks of suspected cocaine found on Surigao del Sur shore

MANILA, Philippines — Two more blocks of suspected cocaine weighing about two kilograms and worth P10 million were found along the shoreline of Lingig town in the province of Surigao del Sur on Wednesday morning. 

Caraga police said the suspected cocaine blocks were found by the same fisherman, Jolan Pucot, who earlier discovered sixteen blocks of suspected cocaine along the same coastline in Brgy. Handamayan, Lingig town.

Investigation revealed that Pucot was at the seashore and was preparing to set sail to fish when he saw the two blocks. He consequently handed over the blocks to village chief Jemuel Quiobe and Police Capt. Edwin Perez at the barangay hall.

The two blocks of suspected cocaine have been placed under the custody of the Lingig Municipal Police Station, police said. /kga
