Legazpi activates CCTV cameras, emergency response team
LEGAZPI CITY — The Legazpi City government has established an emergency quick response team and activated more than a hundred closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras positioned in strategic areas in the city on Tuesday.
According to Legazpi Mayor Noel Rosal, the safety not only residents but also of the tourists that flock to his city was a priority.
He said the setup of CCTV cameras were almost closely similar to that in bigger places like Makati, Quezon City, and Davao City.
Councilor Chito Baldo, officer in charge of the 911 command center, said there were 136 hi-tech cameras installed around Legazpi with standby ambulances. All these cost about P75 million.
“We have 15 emergency quick response teams that are well trained and passed the incident command system training,” he said.
