Japanese man found dead inside apartment in Nueva Ecija

SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija – A 58-year-old Japanese national was found dead in an apparent suicide inside his house here on Monday, police reported.

Police said the body of Ocamoto Satoshi, a divorced man from Nagoya, Japan, was discovered inside his rented apartment by a neighbor in Barangay San Bartolome at about 6:30 p.m.

Forensic investigators recovered from the apartment the victim’s personal belongings, such as mobile gadgets and cash worth P2,120.

Police said the victim’s identity was established through his identification cards that were also recovered from the apartment. /jpv
