Magnitude 3.9 quake jolts Eastern Samar
MANILA, Philippines—A magnitude 3.9 earthquake jolted the coast of Eastern Samar on Saturday, the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology said.
The quake’s epicenter was recorded at 13 kilometers northeast of the municipality of San Julian, and was of tectonic origin, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs added that the quake was felt at Instrumental Intensity III in Borongan City.
San Juan was previously struck with a magnitude 6.5 temblor on Tuesday, a day after parts of Luzon also felt a 6.1-magnitude quake. /muf
