MANILA, Philippines — Pilgrims and devotees visited San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral inside Intramuros to pray and do the “Way of the Cross” on Good Friday.
The San Agustin Church and the Manila Cathedral are just two among nine houses of worship the Intramuros Administration (IA) decided to open for public during the Holy Week.
Confessions for the faithful are simultaneously being held in both churches, while the Seven Last Words or the “Siete Palabras” will be presented at 12 noon Friday.
Apart from San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral, Fr. Willman Chapel, PLM Chapel, Mapua Chapel, Lyceum of the Philippines University Chapel, Colegio de San Juan de Letran Chapel, BIR Chapel, and Fort Santiago Chapel were also open to pilgrims for Holy Week this year, IA said. /kga
