MANILA, Philippines — A woman was arrested in Caloocan City for selling bullets to an undercover policeman in a buy-bust operation.

Police identified the suspect as Joan Gonzales, 31, who allegedly sold 10 bullets for a still unknown caliber of firearm in an operation of the Northern Police District (NPD) Special Operations Unit and the Caloocan City Police on Wednesday at around 8:30 p.m.

The poseur-buyer then signaled to his back-up officers after completing the deal, leading to the arrest of the Gonzales, police said.

According to the NPD, two sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) were also confiscated from the suspect upon further inspection.

The suspect was brought to the NPD where charges of illegal selling of ammunition and illegal possession of drugs were being prepared for filing before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office. /cbb
