4 hurt in 4-vehicle mishap in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – Four motorists were injured in a four-vehicle collision along the Maharlika Highway in Gumaca town, Quezon early Tuesday.

A report from the Quezon police said a Manila-bound Nissan Navarra pick-up being driven by George Suali overtook a van and another pick-up and already back in its lane when passenger bus Raymond Bus Transport driven by Noriel Panasarez, bumped the left portion of Suali’s van.

The incident happened in Barangay Villa Bota about 2:10 a.m.

Due to the impact, the wayward van hit the two other vehicles.

Suali and his passengers Tricia Airah Salvanera, 22; Karla Patam, 28; and Marshally Portillano, 24, all suffered injuries and were rushed to the RAKKK hospital at the town center for treatment.

The drivers of the other van and pick-up were both unharmed.

Police said Panasarez remained at large but the parties involved in the accident were all willing to settle the case out of court. /lzb
