Travelers start trooping to provinces for Holy Week

MANILA, Philippines — People wishing to spend the Holy Week in the provinces have started to flock to the Araneta Center bus station in Cubao, Quezon City.

As of Tuesday morning, dozens of passengers were already lined up at the station, waiting for their departure time.

The government has ordered the suspension of work in the public and private sector starting Maundy Thursday.

In Manila, the city government announced the suspension of work starting Holy Wednesday. /cbb
