SC: Half-day work schedule in all courts on April 17

Supreme Court

MANILA, Philippines – Court employees nationwide will start their Lenten break on Holy Wednesday afternoon onwards, the Supreme Court (SC) announced on Tuesday.

The SC declared a half day work schedule on Wednesday to give workers enough time to prepare for the Holy Week break.

On the other hand, courts inside local government owned and controlled buildings shall observe a whole-day work suspension on April 17 if the local government made such a declaration.

If there is none, work will be half day, said the High Court in the advisory released by its Public Information Office on Monday.

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are regular holidays, while Black Saturday is a special non-working holiday. /gsg
