MANILA, Philippines—A man was shot dead Monday evening in his home in Pangasinan, police said Tuesday.
Superintendent Gerry Roxas, spokesman for the Pangasinan police said that victim Jeffrey de Guzman Daguio,23, was alone, drinking alcohol at the balcony of his house in Barangay (village) Sto. Domingo, Tayug, Pangasinan, when he was gunned down by still unidentified suspect around 9 p.m.
Roxas said that Daguio sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his back, causing him to die instantly.
Two spent shells of a 12-guage shotgun were found at the crime scene, Roxas said.
Roxas said that the remains of Daguio are now being autopsied at the Erfe Funeral Homes.
Investigation is still ongoing to verify the motive of the incident and identify the suspect, Roxas said. Jamie Marie Elona, INQUIRER.net
