Navotas ‘drug queen’, 3 others busted

MANILA, Philippines — Four drug suspects, including Navotas City’s alleged “drug queen” were arrested in separate operations on Sunday night.

The Northern Police District (NPD) reported that Rosario Enriquez, 51, and former barangay safety officer Dennis Alvarez, 48, were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Navotas City police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay North Bay Boulevard – South.

Authorities tagged Enriquez as Navotas City’s “drug queen”

Enriquez was arrested after handing over to an undercover police officer a sachet of shabu worth P500.

Six sachets of shabu and cash were recovered from Enriquez while Alvarez yielded 11 sachets of shabu and a loaded .38 caliber pistol.

Appropriate charges will be filed against Enriquez and Alvarez.

In an earlier operation, John Clemente, 33, a tricycle driver reportedly moonlighting as a drug pusher identified as John Clemente, 33, and a female drug user identified as Zindy Amadovar were also nabbed.

Clemente allegedly handed a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer and received P400.

Confiscated from Clemente were two sachets of shabu and marked peso bills while Amadovar yielded a sachet of shabu.

They will face drug-related charges.  /gsg
