April 7: Sillag Festival
The city of San Fernando in La Union province lights up in the last day of the festivities.
An air show and bonsai and “suiseki” (viewing stones) competition will be held in the day. The festival’s highlights, lights parade and pyromusical show, will wow visitors by sundown.
April 8 to 14: Panaad sa Negros Festival
The agriculture industry of Negros Occidental province takes center stage in the 26th edition of the festival with the theme “Beyond a Promise, a Legacy.”
Article continues after this advertisementA livestock and dairy fair will feature the development of the livestock and poultry industry in the province. Seminars on farm management and animal health will also be held.

Residents of Masbate City dress up in leather boots and cowboy hats to celebrate Masbate province’s cattle industry.
In 2017, a statue of a cowboy, mounted on a leaping horse in front of the provincial capitol, was unveiled.
Activities include cattle wrestling, bull whipping, livestock show, beef cooking contest and trade fair.
